It’s Happening — Here’s What We Know

It’s happening.

Tomorrow at noon the agreement will be signed. Israel’s government will vote on it and within 48 hours, ALL remaining hostages are expected to be home.

After months of negotiations it finally feels real. Kushner and Witkoff are in Egypt. Trump has been invited to attend the signing ceremony.

So what’s been negotiated, and what does this deal actually look like?

What’s in the deal?

1. Hostages
   Approximately 20 names of living hostages have been given to Israel. “Approximately” being the scary word here.

2. Bodies Still Missing
   Hamas has claimed they don’t know where all the bodies are. It’s unclear if this is a trick or real. It could prolong the next stages dramatically, as Israel has said it will not move on to the next part until every hostage is back home.

3. Territory
   Israel’s withdrawal will roughly follow the Trump Plan lines, maybe with a few tweaks.

   Under that framework, the IDF will remain in about 57% of Gaza, meaning it will still control most of the Strip. There could be a small additional pullback, but nothing major. Israel will stay in all the locations surrounding Hamas strongholds.

4. Exchange Terms
   Once Hamas confirms all hostages in its hands, Israel will release the agreed list of prisoners it will be releasing. Hamas is pushing to receive the bodies of the Sinwar brothers as part of this exchange.

What happens next?

Israel is refusing to negotiate any of the other 21 clauses in the agreement until all hostages are home. Point blank.

Trump is expected to arrive in the Middle East on Sunday. It’s not yet clear if that means Israel or Egypt.

After all the praying and waiting, maybe this is finally it.
