Day 4: Big Boy Pants On
A newsletter by Meira K | June 16, 2025
The biggest question I keep getting asked is, “How long is this going to take?”.
The answer depends on how far back we’ve set the Islamic Republic. Are they going to continue firing a small number of missiles a day to prolong the war, or are they going to try to maximize impact while they still can? Time will tell, but as of now - it’s time to put on our big boy pants and expect at least a long few weeks ahead.
So what happened in the last 24 hours, besides no sleep for this author? (Please note, we’ve included at the end some important public service announcements, including flight updates.)
Overnight: Iran Attacks, 8 Killed
Iran launched multiple barrages overnight, with four direct hits in central Israel.
Exact locations are not being disclosed and for good reason:
Iran is watching to see where our defenses struggle. Publicly posting impact sites helps them plan the next attack. The police are taking this seriously, and I recommend you do too.
It’s now public that an oil refinery was attacked in Haifa last night, killing 3 civilians. This same refinery was already hit,, and it’s presumed that due to the footage publicized, they went again for the same target. Please, please don’t share footage or locations.
In summary:
3 waves of missiles, one during the day
8 civilians killed
Areas hit: Haifa, Tel Aviv, Petach Tikva, Bnei Brak
US Embassy in Tel Aviv sustained minor damage
Hundreds injured, mostly lightly (shrapnel, broken glass)
Total Israeli deaths since war began: 24
I know it’s hard at 3 a.m., but Mamads save lives. Use them.
Israel’s Response: Strategic, Not Just Retaliation
Israel isn’t just hitting back- it’s targeting Iran’s ability to keep fighting in three main ways: stop the rockets, stop the nukes, and help the people of Iran topple the regime from within.
As of today:
We have complete control of the airspace
120 missile launchers destroyed- ⅓ of Iran’s known arsenal, bottlenecking their ability to fire at us
20 launch sites hit in real time- in the same way we do in Gaza, once they fire, we attack the source
Confirmed kill: Head of Iranian Intelligence and his deputy
Destruction of their TV headquarters- let’s stop the lies of this regime
Strike on Mashhad plane (2,300 km away)- furthest strike in our force’s history, shows total air control
Evacuation orders now issued for civilians- showing them Israel is on their side, but causing major mayhem as they all try and evacuate
Waves and waves of attacks by our Air Force
What Iran Is Doing
370 ballistic missiles + 100 drones launched so far. All drones have been intercepted. One pesky one made it into Israel and looked like it was going after Netanyahu’s residence- but we caught it in time
Parliament openly chanting “Death to Israel, Death to America”- intentions are pretty clear
Threatening to withdraw from the NPT, the nuclear agreement- despite media claiming they are coming back to the negotiation table
Trying to close the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic shipping point, endangering global trade
Launched missiles at U.S. consulate and Israeli cities and civilians
Nu, where is America?
Whilst the U.S. is not officially involved just yet, they are maneuvering their military in what definitely looks like preparation to join.
That’s the big question right now- do we need the U.S.? The simple answer is no, its more like a want.
We wouldn’t have started this if we needed them to join. However, their involvement helps on a couple of fronts:
Fordow – With U.S. help we can destroy it completely. Without them, we can cause enough damage to the country and the base as a whole to make it untenable for them to rebuild for ages. Not ideal, but manageable.
The people of Iran – For an uprising to happen, Iranians need to feel that it’s possible, and the U.S. joining gives them that backing and morale. But even if the U.S. doesn’t join, the people of Iran have started fighting back- from bomb explosions in cars to building opposition and supporting Israel, an uprising is already underway.
Legitimacy – While the world backs us, U.S. involvement would prove this isn’t just an Israel-Iran war, but a war for the sake of the world. Honestly, most of the world already sees it. We even have Britain potentially sending us help. What happens behind closed doors is different from what they present publicly. Take Saudi Arabia, for example- they’re publicly condemning the attack, but to us, they are so very grateful. I talk about this on my weekly show, filmed from my Mamad this week.
Prime Minister Netanyahu suggested the same in a direct and revealing interview to Fox News:
Said Iran was just “weeks away” from a nuclear weapon
“No one else was going to act,” “I had to.”
Called it a preventative global move, not just for Israel
Confirmed this is not a one-time strike
Hinted at possible regime collapse in Iran
“Israel will do what it must to defend itself. Always.”
And whilst all this goes on, we are still at war in Gaza. Summer is also being delayed, as are the Maccabia games. And have you noticed how very silent Hamas and Hezbollah have been? Iran may be playing the big game and trying to hurt us, but the reality is simple: We have already won.

The National Mood
The morale of the country is high.
Despite being on lockdown and are men on call, we’ve lived with this threat for so long, and knowing it’s going away is a massive stress relief.
The no sleep and heightened fear is a small price to pay for the ending of the Islamic Republic.
We are seeing the words of the Torah come alive in real time- and it’s no surprise that an increase of 35% of young Israelis have reported that they’ve started to keep Shabbat.
The pain is temporary, but we are in the fight of good vs. evil- and G-d is on our side. I can feel it.
Stay safe, stay sane, and i’ll see you next time,
Meira
