Day 11 - Trump: The Biggest Troll Of All Time
A newsletter by Meira K | June 23, 2025 | Day Eleven of the Israel Iran War: Iran starts and ends WW3, Israel releases Iranian prisoners and the nukes are officially bye bye.
Earlier tonight, Iran launched a 14 missile barrage toward U.S. military bases in Qatar and Iraq, in response to the American strike on its nuclear sites over the weekend.
The outcome: no injuries, no damage, all missiles intercepted.
The move, Iran claimed, was a fair retaliation. It’s clear to everyone who sees that this is NOT equal, and very indicative of two things.
Their abilities have been drastically reduced. We took out their half a trillion dollar investment and the response is 14 rockets
They want to de-escalate. This is symbolic act of not taking the attack quietly, but not actually triggering the US into an all out war.
Within hours, Trump confirmed our theory on here with the worlds most condescending tweet “Iran informed us before so no one was injured, hardly any damage done..I hope they got it out of their “system” and there will be, hopefully, no more hate”
Looks like World War 3 has been averted, but not without Trump getting the final word. And all the haters that claimed he wants to drag this out? Eating their words right now.
Its still possible that Iran have more in store, but its very very unlikely.
Tick-Tock
The Israeli Air Force conducted its most extensive strike yet in Tehran, hitting over 50 regime targets. Why? Well it looks like Israel is trying to wrap up this war soon according to official sources (and probably at the request of Trump) and are hoping to get as much done before then.
So what did they aim for today?
Iran’s internal security HQ
Missile depots and radar systems
The headquarters of the Basij (the regime’s civilian suppression unit)
State broadcasting infrastructure
The gate of Evin Prison, where political prisoners are held (AMAZING)
Perhaps most telling was the strike on Tehran’s doomsday clock - a propaganda installation counting down the time until Israel’s destruction. The messaging is pretty clear.
Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar confirmed the Evin strike and added a line that drew attention:
“Long live freedom.”
The war is now extending beyond deterrence and deep into narrative territory - challenging the regime not only militarily but ideologically.
Is Regime Change on the Table?
Officially, Israel denies any intention to topple the Iranian regime. But the messaging - and the target selection - tell a more nuanced story.
Strikes on Evin, the Basij, and Iran’s national broadcast systems are difficult to justify under traditional military logic. They are symbolic. And they send a message not only to the regime - but to its people.
At the same time, both Israeli and American sources suggest the nuclear program has been severely compromised .
The Fordow facility was among the sites hit
The IAEA confirmed extensive damage at three nuclear sites
The U.S. believes the uranium stockpile was stored at the site it destroyed
Missile warehouses and launch sites in western Iran were destroyed
Access roads to Fordow were re-bombed to block further access
A UAV was downed over Iran - no sensitive information was exposed
The IDF warned Tehran residents, via its Farsi-language channel, to expect continued strikes on military targets
If that uranium remains trapped - and if launch capabilities continue to be degraded, we may reach a point where military objectives have been met. And that, my friends, might mean we can go back to full nights in our beds.
Today’s Iranian Missile Attacks on Israel
This morning, Iran launched fewer than ten missiles toward Israel. One landed near a strategic infrastructure facility in the south, causing brief power outages for 8,000 residents. All power was restored within hours.
The rest of the missiles were intercepted, and there were no injuries.
Energy Minister Eli Cohen noted that preparations had been made in advance for such scenarios.
North:
A missile from Iran was intercepted over northern Israel late morning
The IDF eliminated Hezbollah’s fire array commander for the Litani region, who oversaw rocket fire on Haifa and Nahariya
Home Front:
The IDF confirmed that today’s Iranian UAVs were intercepted using electronic warfare systems
Viral posts claiming alert system failures were officially denied by the IDF
A missile did impact Haifa yesterday without triggering a siren - due to a rare radar misclassification, now resolved
In other news:
It was cleared for publication that 95-year-old Holocaust survivor Yvette Shmilovitz was the fourth fatality in last week’s missile strike on Petah Tikva.
May her memory be a blessing. Two Israeli citizens - one from Haifa, one from Tel Aviv - were arrested on suspicion of espionage for Iranian intelligence.
Jerusalem’s Old City walls were lit with Israeli and American flags last night in solidarity.
Political Stability
The Knesset Ethics Committee sanctioned Arab List MKs for statements against the IDF during wartime. Some were suspended and had salaries withheld
The High Court postponed its hearing on appointing the new Shin Bet chief, citing the state of emergency
Justice Minister Yariv Levin called for the immediate appointment of Maj. Gen. Zini
Finance Minister Smotrich released a compensation plan for small businesses impacted by the war
It's a busy and historic and biblical time, and while the media focuses on trying to scare us, we must remember that in just a tweet, Hashem can turn everything around.
The end of days are not here just yet, and all will be good soon, I can feel it.
Stay safe, stay sane,
Meira
